Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment and target standard

Aegis Pet Hub Ltd wants everyone to be able to look up a microchip, register a pet and manage their records regardless of ability or the technology they use. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across aegispethub.co.uk.

2. What we do to support accessibility

• Semantic headings, labels and landmarks throughout the site.
• Full keyboard operability as a design requirement for all interactive features.
• Colour choices checked for sufficient contrast.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Forms with visible labels and clear error messages.

3. How we test

Our testing method combines automated scanning with the axe accessibility engine and manual passes using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers. Testing is carried out as features are built and before releases. Date of most recent evaluation: ongoing during the current development phase; this statement will record a fixed evaluation date from the pre-launch audit onwards.

4. Known limitations

We aim to be honest about where we are:

• A full independent accessibility audit has not yet been carried out; one is scheduled before public launch, and issues it finds will be fixed or listed here with workarounds.
• The site is under active development, so individual pages may temporarily fall short of the target standard between test passes.
• Some third-party components (for example the payment flow provided by Stripe when it launches) are outside our direct control; we choose suppliers with accessibility support and will report issues to them.

5. Alternative formats

If you need information from this site in an alternative format — for example large print, plain text or a document readable by your assistive technology — contact support@aegispethub.co.uk and we will provide it where reasonably possible. You can also carry out key tasks by telephone: microchip enquiries on 020 8051 2117 (24/7) and general support Monday to Friday, 10am–6pm.

6. Report a problem or escalate

If you find an accessibility barrier, email support@aegispethub.co.uk describing the page and the problem, and the assistive technology you were using if relevant. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, use the Complaints Policy at /complaints. The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise on rights under the Equality Act 2010.

7. Review schedule

We review this statement at least every 12 months, and sooner after significant site changes or the pre-launch independent audit. The version and effective date at the top of this page show when it last changed.
