Cookies Notice

What this site stores on your device, why, and how you stay in control.

1. What this notice covers

This notice covers cookies and similar technologies — including browser localStorage and indexedDB — used on aegispethub.co.uk. You can change your choices at any time on the Cookie Preferences page at /cookie-settings.

2. The short version

Today, this site sets only strictly necessary storage. We do not currently use any analytics, marketing or chat tools, and no optional cookies are set. The optional categories below are described so you know what to expect if we introduce such tools later — they will not be switched on for you before you have given consent.

3. Strictly necessary technologies (currently in use)

These are essential for the site to work and do not require consent.

  • Firebase Authentication session storage — storage type: browser localStorage / indexedDB; purpose: keeping you signed in and maintaining your authentication state; provider: Google Firebase; duration: persists until you sign out or clear your browser storage.
  • Cookie consent record — storage type: browser localStorage (key aegis-cookie-consent); purpose: remembering the cookie choices you made and when, so we do not ask you repeatedly and can honour your decision; provider: Aegis Pet Hub (first party); duration: persists until you clear it or change your choices.

4. Analytics (not currently used)

Analytics tools would help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it, for example by measuring page visits and journeys. No analytics tools are in use today. If we introduce one, it will be listed here with its purpose, provider and duration, and it will only run after you opt in at /cookie-settings.

5. Marketing (not currently used)

Marketing technologies would be used to measure campaigns or show relevant messages. None are in use today. Any future marketing technology will be listed here first and will require your prior consent.

6. Chat and support tools (not currently used)

We do not currently embed any live-chat or similar third-party support widget. If one is added, this notice will explain what it stores and under which category it falls, and non-essential storage it uses will require consent.

7. Managing your preferences

Use the Cookie Preferences page at /cookie-settings to accept, reject or change optional categories at any time; rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can also clear stored data through your browser settings, though clearing the authentication storage will sign you out.

8. Changes to this notice

If we add or change any technology, we will update this notice and its version number before the change takes effect, and re-seek consent where required.
