Regulatory Status

1. Purpose of this notice

Compulsory microchipping rules in the UK require records to be held on an approved or compliant database. This page states, plainly and accurately, where Aegis Pet Hub currently stands in that process. It is the single source of truth for status wording across the whole site: if any other page, email or material appears to say something different about our approval status, this page prevails and the other wording is in error — please report it to support@aegispethub.co.uk.

2. Operating legal entity

The database and this website are operated by Aegis Pet Hub Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. Aegis Pet Hub Ltd is the entity that would hold any approval or listing, and is the controller of registry data (see /privacy).

3. Current status by nation

• England — Application in preparation — not yet an approved database.
• Wales — Application in preparation — not yet an approved database.
• Scotland — Application in preparation — not yet an approved database.
• Northern Ireland — Application in preparation — not yet an approved database.

Aegis Pet Hub is not currently on any official list of approved or compliant microchip databases, and we make no claim to approval or compliance with the microchipping database regulations of any UK nation until the relevant authority confirms it.

4. What this means for you

• Until approval is granted in your nation, a registration with Aegis Pet Hub does not by itself satisfy a legal requirement to have your pet’s details on an approved database there. Keep any existing registration on an approved database in place.
• A registration with us is evidence of an entry on our registry; it is not conclusive legal proof of ownership of the animal.
• Our lookup and reunification services operate regardless of approval status: the 24/7 microchip enquiry line on 020 8051 2117 and our online routes remain available.

5. When status changes

When an approval or listing is granted for any nation, we will update this page with the effective date, any conditions or limitations attached, and a link to the relevant official list so you can verify the status independently. Only wording taken from this page may be used elsewhere on the site to describe our status.
