Microchipping is a regulated activity. Under the 2023 Regulations, only people who meet the training and competence requirements may implant a microchip — and only approved roles can register allocated stock on our database.
Veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses acting under direction are qualified to implant by virtue of their professional training and registration.
Non-veterinary implanters must hold approved training that meets the requirements of the Regulations, covering implantation technique, animal handling and record-keeping.
We ask for your qualification or training certificate and proof of identity as part of your application, and a member of our team reviews every one — approval is never automatic.

Order chips through the portal, implant, and register each animal to its keeper — ideally in the same visit, while everyone's details are to hand.
Chips ordered through us are allocated to you personally. Every chip number is traceable from allocation to implantation to registration — so stock can't go quietly missing.
Each implanted chip must be registered promptly with the animal's and keeper's details. The portal walks you through it at the point of implantation.
Misfired or damaged chips must be recorded, not discarded silently. Log them in the portal so the chip number is retired and your allocation stays accurate.
Adverse reactions, migrated chips and chip failures carry reporting duties under the Regulations. The portal captures the report and guides you through where it must go.
When a keeper completes a paid registration for a chip you implanted, you earn commission on that registration. Your commission terms — the rate, how it accrues and when it's paid — are set out in your implanter agreement and shown in your portal, so you always see the current terms that apply to you rather than a number frozen on a marketing page.
